Who We Are

We are a group of  citizens concerned with using technology to present facts and models along with alternatives to the public and to open a debate on this development. Our worry is that the dialogue on densification is too focused on vertical buildings rather than intensification with “missing-middle” and in-fill developments.

Our hope is for an open and transparent and respectful approval system that compliments the existing built environment.

Our goal is to foster dialogue that will put the issue back into the hands of the people of Halifax.

Our outcome is to build an affordable, environmentally sound, diverse and human scale city.

We are:

  • People concerned with the fate of what’s left of the historic Halifax Common

  • Neighbours of the proposed development

  • Citizens concerned with the limited scope of debate on development in Halifax

  • Heritage advocates

  • People who want to see alternative models for other forms of densification.
